Tonight the musical "Pirates the Musical" will be playing starting at 7:00 and
ending when it ends I don't know yet my name is Devin and i am in the front row my
pirate name is Redbeard it is a free musical and doors open at 6:30. ALL IS WELCOME. The musical is at Henery Miller Audtorium.

youtube fun in the UG

Thomas loves this video. He heard the song "Barney's on Fire" by Weird Al Yankovic. At the end of the song, Fat came up and he clicked on it. Ever since, he's been watching that video and laughing at it. So today we watched that video;

And then later, someone wanted to watch the video for 10 Million Fireflies so we watched that. If you want to be in the middle of a cool experience, try being surrounded by about 10 after school kids singing that to you... AWESOME.

Today we announced skit day is thursday all skits accepted. There werent very many people and it wasny very exiting.People fought over plays and parts and alot of people got mad so savana had to give a speech about how to work as a group and afterwards they took of and all started fighting again.

Game Day Craziness

Yesterday was game day craziness! There was a big D.S./ D.S.I. Cars tournament. Me, or Quenton, a U.G. student, brought a Gameboy Advance S.P. and a Gameboy Micro for everyone to share. I invited a new person to the U.G- David. Now he comes nomally to the U.G. And, as I said before, that day was crazy! So, if there is anyone who would like to come to the U.G., you must be in 3rd through 12th grade. Come after school at 3:00 to 5:30. Wednesdays are $2.00 dinner days.

Sara hijacks the blog again

Alright. It's not the kids' fault they haven't updated the blog. It turns out when I go to Ohio, I don't always leave behind the appropriate passwords and information and then sometimes we get too caught up in the business of Undergrounding to update you on everything going on down here.

Here are the highlights of the last few days, though.


Monday: Everyone got so caught up in a game of Dirty Uno that they played past closing time and hung around longer. Cool. (Dirty Uno is just the card game Uno with a bunch of crazy rules thrown in the mix. I'll ask one of the youth to blog that later.)

Tuesday: Andrea dropped by and she agreed to help with the Christmas program/service this year. She and I and some of the youth talked through ideas with that. Also, we got all crazy and watched some youtube videos and I showed them the new favorite one that I watched in Ohio. Things you can only get away with in a pool. Silly.


Wednesday: School got out early today. Extra long time in the Underground led to a movie day with this classic:


And Miranda discovered a new love for bacon. Or at least pretended to love it after Jim and I decided bacon appreciation was a key requirement to come to the church. (kidding.... mostly...)

Anyway, that's what we've been up to. You'll hear from youth again soon. I promise.

friday at the ug

Let me hijack this blog for a second. Today, I laid out a new system for keeping the UG clean. (It had become this huge battle and I was tired of fighting with kids and begging them to sweep and stuff.) So the new plan is this:

The UG kids will be divided into teams.

Team leaders will be the junior high and high school youth.

Each day a different team will be responsible for cleaning the UG at the end of the day. If they do all the cleaning responsibilities, they'll get a team point.

When they earn 5 team points, they'll be able to trade them in for a reward.

Rewards will include things like a pizza party after the UG closes for a day or a special snack or a Wii party or anything else (within reason) that they come up with their creative little minds.

Ok now I'm back at the UG because all untill about 2 weeks ago I was doing cross country for the junior high cross country team. What I have been doing since I have been back is fifth quater for 7-12 grade from 9P.M. to midnight. Also I have been here hanging out with Savana,Richard,Daniel,Trenton,Miranda and of course Sara and everybody else.What we have down here are a fooseballtable,a pool table,air hockey table,and a ping pong table and also the computers. What I have played is all that I have typed. what we do at fifth quater is everything other than insted of the computers we watch a cuple of movies.So basically that is what I have done since I have been down here.

Today at the ug it was jam packed. The fooseball champ returned.Today was the first day the ug had a popcorn machine.plotboydreeswj.Kristene and Luke the foseball champ have returned to the underground it was astonishing. fbc.
